TREE STAR STRATEGY SCHOOLS & COMMUNITY PLANTING GUIDE

“From Our Jar to Our Forest: Growing Trees Together”

For Schools, Communities & Youth Groups Prepared by Master Agent Show April 2026

Dear School Leaders, Teachers & Community Members,
You are part of something historic! By nurturing and planting Tree Star trees, your school or community is contributing to Nigeria’s biggest environmental movement — helping to fight desertification, create peace, and build a greener future.

Phase 1:

Nurturing Your Tree Star Jars (12 Months)


Goal: Raise strong, healthy saplings as a group.


Group Care Instructions:
Assign Responsibilities — Create a Tree Club with students or community volunteers.
Watering Roster — Assign students or members to water the Jars daily/regularly.
Best Location — Place Jars in a sunny, safe place (school compound, community centre, or shared garden).
Use the Tree Star App — Register all Jars and upload group photos weekly.
Learning Opportunity — Use the trees for lessons in Science, Agriculture, Civic Education, and Climate Change.


Weekly Activity: Hold “Tree Club Meetings” to check growth, take photos, and learn about the environment.

Phase 2:

The Big Planting Day – 1 June 2027
National Planting Day – Let’s Make History Together!
Step-by-Step Group Planting Instructions:

1.- Choose a Good Spot
– School farm, community land, or designated forest zone.
– Ensure the area is safe and accessible.
2 – Dig the Hole
– Make the hole twice as wide and deep as the Jar (about 60cm × 60cm).
3 – Prepare the Soil
– Mix soil with manure or compost.
– Add water into the hole before planting.

4 – Plant the Tree
– Gently remove the sapling from the Jar.
– Place it straight in the hole at the same level it was growing.
– Fill with soil and press firmly.
5 – Water Generously
– Pour at least 2 buckets of water immediately after planting.
6 – Add Mulch
– Cover the base with dry leaves or grass to keep moisture in.
7 – Attach GPS Tag-Belt
– Put the Tree Star GPS Tag-Belt on the tree trunk.
8 – Register on App
– Take group photos and upload planting details on the Tree Star App.
